Informative Poster

Project Overview

Collaborated with Abide's clinical team to design an engaging, visually appealing childbirth education poster oriented toward the younger pregnant clientele served through the expanded Adolescent program.

The Challenge

The key challenge was creating a design that was eye-catching yet not overly busy or distracting. The poster needed to quickly convey the importance of childbirth education while resonating with the modern, diverse youth demographic through a fresh, youthful aesthetic. Additionally, all written content had to be easily understandable for the average reader.

Research & Strategy

Conducted extensive research into best practices for childbirth education materials, combining insights from clinical staff with independent study. This data informed the content strategy focused on providing educational previews through succinct, skimmable sections.

The visual design approach centered around a vibrant, contemporary style utilizing bright colors and clean layouts. Inclusive imagery featuring pregnant people of color and an LGBTQ+ couple was carefully selected to showcase Abide's diversity and create a welcoming, representative aesthetic.

The end product was a professionally printed poster with an impactful mix of engaging visuals and informative copy blocks optimized for at-a-glance understandability. This allowed the clinical team to effectively promote childbirth education in a modern, attention-grabbing way that fostered connection with the younger pregnant audience.
